Bouyoucos Conferences

Bouyoucos Conferences were initiated in 1992 by SSSA to promote the discussion and free exchange of ideas that are considered the frontiers of soil science. Scientists are brought together for focused examination of topics of critical importance to soil science. The conferences were named in recognition of George Bouyoucos and his commitment to advancing soil science. His previous donations along with those by his colleagues established the Dr. George Bouyoucos Fund administered by the Agronomic Science Foundation.
